A much happier day today. Up at 6.00am for the first class but I was starving, so persuaded them to give me some raisins and a couple of nuts. How bad is that? First class was circuits and then after breakfast a fourteen mile bike ride, the first seven miles being up hill. I managed to do all the uphill without stopping which shows my stamina is increasing. more aerobics and circuits after lunch, then we had a two hour workshop on nutrition, which was actually very interesting.
After dinner I skipped the last aerobics class and drove to Sainsbury's to stock up on nuts and raisins. oh and shampoo. While I was there I saw Desmond Lyanam. looked very frail and was walking with a stick. Still has all that whiate hair.
Up at six again tomorrow. I am asleep by 9.30 in the evening, but then so is everyone else.

Slept with the Cpap, so felt good when I woke at about 5.00am. I decided to try and get another hour of sleep while listening to the Radio. In the end it turned out to be another 2 hours so at7.00am shot out of bed to make the coffee and I also ate a banana with some low fat greek yoghurt.
Den agreed to go walking with me as long as Gary and the boys didn't come along ! My thighs were aching from yesterday's walk so I decided on a route along the canal going North, in other word very few hills. 30 mins altogether and just over 2km. Once again I started to yawn on the way back, but a spot of intensive deep breathing seemed to help.
Got to work at 9.45, demolished the porridge I had brought and by 11.30am I was starving and feeling quite weak :( In the end I capitulated at 11:50pm and ate the Chicken Ceasar Salad I had brought for lunch, followed by a 'Eat Natural' nutty bar. I also made sure I drank 2 cups of very dilute blackcurrant squash with water.
Legs, especially thighs are really stiffening up, although once I get moving they are ok again. Later on I'll nip to Sainbury's in Watford for a walk.
Unfortunately Sergio has donated his Chelsea CL sweepscape winnings to buying cakes for the team this afternoon. If the cakes are'nt there I don't think about them. but if they are sitting on the desk next to me I can't resist. Hey Ho .We'll see what happens

No exercise today. Well not unless you count the brisk walk to Northchurch tonight to pick up some Fish and Chips (small portion of course)
I did lose some weight today, as Andrew cut my hair before work, but then Nick bought some celery with blackcurrants in for afternoon treats so I think the blackcurrants may have topped it up again.
Anyway, tonight is packing night and I am very, very excited. I will miss Den loads and loads, but at least he will get some decent sleep now without the CPAP whining away or my snoring. Just hope he doesn't see it as an opportunity to start working 20 hours a day as opposed to the current 14 hours a day he is working.

Wednesday 23rd May 2012
Woke up feeling absolutely dreadful this morning. I think I must have been woken up out of a deep sleep. Took me 30 minutes or so to come to. I forced myself to the kitchen to make coffee and toast. Breakfast made me feel a lot better, so Den and I went for a walk through the estate and woods, about 1.5km.
That seemed to do the trick, and I was much more awake. Noticed that my back wasn't hurting so that's a good sign.
Very hot outside, so I don't think I'll go for a walk during my lunch break, maybe when I get home with Katie

Day 1 - Sunday 20th May 2012
Today is day 1. No more excuses. I am 50 in less than 6 weeks. I should be at my peak (well perhaps just over) but I'm not. Constantly tired and in pain. My weight is about 13 stone, I really don't like to check it. I want to feel fit and well again.
Every now and again I have a spurt of exercise fever, and I do feel better, but it rarely lasts. Something has to change and I am still not sure how to go about it. I have to stop talking about how fit I was in my 30s, exercising right until the final stages of pregnancy. It doesn't count anymore and the effects have worn off !
This morning Den brought me a coffee and bowl of porridge at 7.30am. I then did what I always do . Got the ipad out and start reading the Daily Mail. Nothing very interesting there. Den got dressed and went out to golf. I knew I had to stop putting it off
I put on yesterdays t-shirt, jogging pants, new cross trainers (bought specially for Fit Farms next week) and went out the front door. Not forgtting to take Gary, Mark, Howard, Jason and Robbie with me.
This is day 1 of I'm not quite sure what, but I have to start somewhere.
I really can't jog or run, well I can, but within hours my lower back will be in pain. So walking, fast walking. I started up the hill and kept going. Its all up hill. It was hurting after a few hundred yards especially my calfs. I kept going, and kept turning left to follow the hill. I thought about going through the woods, but I'm a bit nervous about going on my own so I carried on through the estate.
AT the highest point I had to stop, rest and stretch. I didn't feel particularly invigorated, in fact the strangest thing, I couldn't stop yawning, and actually yawned all the way back. The weather was drizzly and cool but that suited me as I was very hot. Got back about half way through 'Shine'. Maybe next time I should actually time the walk to see if I can see an improvement?
Got back and had a glass of water with a touch of blackcurrant and started writing this. At least I have stopped yawning. Tomorrow morning I will do the same walk, may be Den will come with me ?
I have to fight the desire to go and lie down and get on with some housework. I also must uses my cpap every night this week to see if that helps. I didn't use it last night. Maybe that;s why I am feeling so tired.
